At TEXTILO, we know that T-shirt printing is one of the best ways to foster a sense of belonging among employees and build customer loyalty with high-quality corporate gifts. That’s why we offer a variety of printing techniques to adapt to each client’s needs and ensure the highest quality in the final product.

Among the printing techniques we offer are DTF, screen printing transfer, and DPI transfer, each with its own characteristics and advantages. DTF, or Direct-to-Film, is a technique that uses a printer to print the design directly onto a film, which is then transferred to the garment using heat and pressure. This technique is ideal for complex and detailed designs, as it allows for sharp details and a wide range of colors.

On the other hand, screen printing is a technique that uses a mesh to transfer ink onto the garment, thereby creating the desired design. This technique is ideal for designs with few ink colors and solid colors, as it offers great durability and wash resistance.

Finally, DPI or Digital Print Transfer is a technique that uses a printer to print the design directly onto the garment. This technique is ideal for designs with a large number of colors and gradients, as it allows for high precision in reproducing the design.

At TEXTILO, we go the extra mile and will advise you on the best approach based on the type of garment, placement, and design for your print. It’s extremely important to choose the right garments for printing and to ensure they meet the customer’s needs, since the print’s finish will vary depending on the garment’s composition, weight, and characteristics. That’s why we always recommend printing on garments weighing more than 150 grams.

The placement of the print is also a key factor due to the elasticity the garment may have in that area. Printing on the chest of a polo shirt is not the same as printing on the back or sleeve—it all depends on the size and complexity of the design you want to print. At TEXTILO, we have a team of professionals with extensive experience in the industry who will guide you every step of the way to ensure the final result meets your expectations.

In short, printing T-shirts using techniques such as DTF, screen printing transfers, and DPI transfers is a highly effective way to foster a sense of belonging among employees and build customer loyalty through high-quality corporate gifts. At TEXTILO, we have the expertise and technology needed to offer you the highest quality prints, always adapting to your needs and providing the best personalized advice to ensure your experience with us is as satisfying as possible. Printing Features:

  • Speed. Ideal for customizing a large number of garments.
  • Price. One of the most affordable options.
  • Definition. Allows for the detailed reproduction of images, photographs, or complex designs with photo-quality results.
  • High Contrast. By printing a layer of white ink beneath the design (white + CMYK), the colors stand out much more.
  • Feel. DTF is thin and lightweight. However, if the design covers a very large area, it still feels somewhat plastic-like and loses breathability.
  • It looks great with small logos on thin garments; on stiff garments, it looks good regardless of size.
    High durability.
  • Much more durable than before—they don’t crack even when the garment is stretched. Sturdy and long-lasting.

Tips for Successful Printing

At TEXTILO, we go the extra mile and will advise you on the best approach based on the type of garment, placement, and design for your digital print. It’s extremely important to choose the right garments for digital printing that meet the customer’s needs, since the quality of the digital print will vary depending on the garment’s fabric composition, weight, and characteristics. which is why we always recommend using garments made of at least 80% cotton for digital printing. The placement of the digital print is also a key factor due to the elasticity the garment may have in that area. Printing on the chest of a polo shirt is not the same as printing on the back or sleeve—it all depends on the size and complexity of the design you want to create.

At TEXTILO, we’re always here to help you with whatever you need and answer any questions you may have, so don’t hesitate to contact us so we can recommend the best way to proceed with your digital print.

 Customization of items

There are different types of printing. DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing involves applying ink to a transparent film, which is then placed on the garment and, using a heat press, transfers the ink to the fabric.

In DTF printing, a white layer of ink is first applied to the film, which makes the design stand out and prevents it from being absorbed by the garment’s color.

This is our preferred printing method because it’s fast, affordable, and produces excellent results. It doesn’t protrude from the garment, has a less plastic-like finish than vinyl, and looks great on any type of textile garment. It’s a customization method that provides a perfect finish for detailed and delicate designs, and it has a medium-to-high durability.

The number of colors that can be used is also unlimited, and the elements can be very small. To keep the garment in good condition for longer, we recommend washing it in cold water and turning it inside out. Always iron on the reverse side—NEVER directly on top of the print.

Screen Printing on Items

Screen printing is different because, although it is a printing process and the result is very similar, it uses the Pantone color chart (meaning designs can have no more than 3 or 4 colors at most) and is performed using screen printing plates.

As a result, with this printing method, we can no longer use such a wide variety of colors (full color), so the design is limited.

The advantage of this method is the ability to use corporate colors for greater consistency with the corporate brand. Additionally, with this method, the larger the order, the more cost-effective this customization method becomes.

DPI Printing

DPI printing is another printing method that delivers higher quality.

It’s exactly the same process, but it delivers higher quality and a raised texture that’s slightly more pronounced than with DTF.

Learn about the custom printing process

Customizing wholesale T-shirts with prints is a process carried out using various techniques, and one of the most popular is printing with automatic industrial heat presses.

To begin with, it’s important to select the right T-shirt for customization. Depending on the design and the product’s purpose, you can choose different types of T-shirts—in terms of materials, colors, and styles. Once you’ve selected the T-shirt, you need to prepare the design for printing.

The design can be provided by the customer or created by the design team at the T-shirt customization company. It’s important to consider the size and placement of the design on the T-shirt to ensure the final result meets expectations.

Once the design is ready, it is printed onto transfer paper. Special inks are used in this process to ensure optimal print quality. After the design is printed on the transfer paper, it is cut along the outline to remove any excess paper.

The next step is to place the transfer paper on the T-shirt in the desired position. To do this, an automatic industrial heat press is used, which applies specific pressure and temperature to set the design onto the T-shirt. It’s important to note that each type of transfer paper has specific application temperature and pressure requirements, so you must know and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Once the necessary pressure and temperature have been applied, the transfer paper is carefully removed. It’s important to do this carefully so that no part of the design peels off. In some cases, a second pressing may be necessary to ensure the print is securely set.

Finally, a quality control check is performed to ensure that the print is perfectly bonded to the T-shirt and that the design looks crisp and free of imperfections. If everything is correct, the customized T-shirt is ready to be delivered to the customer.

In conclusion, the process of customizing wholesale T-shirts with prints applied using automatic industrial heat presses is one that requires attention to detail and specific technical expertise. It is important to have specialized equipment and professionals who can guarantee the quality of the final result and ensure customer satisfaction.
